Cream of mushroom soup

Ingredients

  • 14 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 ounces white or cremini mushrooms
  • 14 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups vegetable broth or chicken broth
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 12 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 14 teaspoon black pepper or to taste

Method

  1. Melt butter in pot and cook mushrooms for 5-7min
  2. sprinkle 14 flour and stir until white specks disappear
  3. slowly pour 2 cups vege broth and 1 cup milk, whisk constantly
  4. bring to simmer and whisk constantly, Cook until it’s thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  5. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, tried parsley, salt, black pepper.
